Kuteinikova Nina
Nina Sergeevna Kuteinikova was born in Leningrad. In 1967 she graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, department of Theory and History of Arts, in 1973 she defended her thesis entitled “The Russian Graphic Arts Represented at the World and International Exhibitions of the 19th Century”. She held a tenure at the Repin Institute as an assistant professor since 1984, and since 1999 as a professor. She delivers lectures on the History of the Russian Art of the second half of the 20th century, she is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Association of Art Critics. The scope of her interests ranges from the history and theory of the Russian Art of the second half of the 20th century, the history of the craft of mosaic in Russia (second half of the 20th century), to patronage of arts and virtu in the second half of the 20th century. In the 90s, her attention focuses on the development of religious art in the late 20th century Russia. She is the author of over sixty articles and two books on the history and evolution of the Russian art in the second half of the 20th century. She is the initiator and organizer of several exhibitions and academic conferences; an academic supervisor and compiler of a series of scholarly and methodological works at the Repin Institute, the Academy of Fine Arts of Russia.
